911 call linked to mini crime spree

Olmsted County deputies were sent to a rural home near Eyota around 6 p.m. to check a 911 call from a 17 year old female

who indicated she was being threatened by her boyfriend, who had a gun. The call was initially received by the Dodge County dispatcher but a check of the teen's name showed she had the Olmsted address. After the deputies determined no one was in the house, they did some more checking and learned the teen’s boyfriend had crashed a vehicle in Iowa and that she was with him at the time. The two were taken to St. Mary’s for treatment. It was also learned the two had been involved in a number of crimes in Iowa and Mower County, including at least one home invasion.
