
Deer Collision on Southern MN Freeway Sends Two to Hospital
Albert Lea, MN (KROC-AM News) - Two people were transported to a hospital following a collision with a deer in southern Minnesota early Saturday.
Deer vs Car on I-35
The State Patrol says the crash occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m. on I-35, just south of Albert Lea, near the Highway 65 interchange. The crash report indicates the victims were in a car traveling north when the vehicle struck a deer.
Albert Lea Couple Injured
The driver was identified as 61-year-old Allen Vonhagen of Albert Lea. The State Patrol says he suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
There was one passenger in the vehicle. The State Patrol says 62-year-old Lynn Vonhagen, also of Albert Lea, was taken to the hospital by ambulance with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The State Patrol says both were wearing seatbelts, and alcohol was not involved in the incident.
