Cottage Grove, MN (KROC-AM News) - A statewide Amber Alert issued by Police in Cottage Grove has been canceled.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says the two young girls who were the subjects of the alert have been found safe and a man, identified in the alert as their father, has been taken into custody.

The Amber Alert stated 25-year-old Jeffrey Lo allegedly assaulted the mother of the 1 and 3-year-old girls early this morning before leaving with her minivan and the children. Details about his arrest and the condition of the children’s mother are not yet available.

Cottage Grove, MN (KROC-AM News) - A statewide Amber Alert has been issued by Police in a Twin Cities suburb where a man allegedly assaulted the mother of his children this morning before leaving with the two kids.

The Cottage Grove Police Department says 25-year-old Jeffrey Lo stole the assault victim’s 2004 Toyota Sienna minivan when he drove away with the 1 and 3-year-old girls shortly after 6:30 AM. The vehicle is tan in color and has a Minnesota license plate reading 708XEM.

At this point, detailed descriptions of the girl are not available. Lo is described as an Asian male, 5’ 5” 180 lbs. with brown eyes. The Amber Alert states he is armed and should not be approached. Anyone spotting him, the children, or the minivan is urged to call 911.
