Area Targeted in Ongoing Search For Missing Southeast Minnesota Man
Red Wing, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office has released updated information regarding the ongoing search for a missing southeast Minnesota man.
57-year-old Brad Nagel of Red Wing has not been heard from since Wednesday, November 15. He was reported missing to authorities on the evening of Nov. 16 after not showing up for a work commitment.
Earlier this week, officials announced they had found Nagel’s pick-up truck on Nov. 19 but did not release any additional information. A news release issued Wednesday afternoon says the vehicle was located and recovered in a Wisconsin back channel of the Mississippi River.
The area he was initially reported to have been in is the Diamond Bluff/Hager City area across the river from Red Wing in western Wisconsin. Nagel was not found in the vehicle and investigators are unsure how long it was in the water for.
The news release also indicates that investigators learned through surveillance video and witness accounts that Nagel was seen walking along a street in Red Wing around 7:40 a.m. on Nov. 16.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is planning to search the area of the vehicle recovery over the Thanksgiving weekend. Authorities in Goodhue and Pierce Counties are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Nagel’s disappearance.
The Minnesota BCA issued a statewide missing person alert for Nagel that describes him as white, 5’ 06”, 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. A clothing description is not available.
Anyone who may have seen Nagel since Wednesday or has information on Nagel’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office at 651-385-3155.
