Police say the 18-year-old victim lost her life at a residence in Duluth on June 18. Officers who responded to the overdose and reported finding crushed blue powder and a blue M30 pill that both tested positive for fentanyl

An autopsy attributed the young woman’s death to fentanyl toxicity. The investigation determined that Sheffield delivered the pills to the woman the night before her death.

Sheffield is also suspected of selling drugs to other residents in Duluth, the news release says. Sheffield is awaiting her first court appearance.
