Police Arrest Teen Man Accused of Making Threats with BB Gun at Rochester Park

Officers responded to the threats call at a home in the 1700 block of 9th St. Northeast. The man told police he was outside of his home when he saw a vehicle pass by that he believed was speeding and driving recklessly.

He said the same vehicle passed by a second time and that he threw a stick at it to get the driver’s attention. The driver, later identified as 18-year-old Sakariye Ali, got out and pointed a gun at the ground, the police report says.

The men exchanged words and Ali left, according to the police report. Officers then found the vehicle parked at Silver Lake Park. Police arrested Ali after he admitted to stopping the car and getting out with the BB gun pistol, Grayson said.
