Bicyclist and Vehicle Collide Near Government Center in Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Emergency responders were called into action Tuesday afternoon after a vehicle and a bicycle collided on the east edge of downtown Rochester.
A spokesperson for the Rochester Police Department says 911 dispatchers received a report around 4:30 PM that a person on a bike had collided with a vehicle in the vicinity of 4th Street and 5th Avenue Southeast near the Holiday Convenience Store just east of the Government Center. Preliminary information indicates the bicyclist rode the bike into the side of the vehicle.
The preliminary report stated the 28-year-old man on the bike suffered minor injuries. Mayo Clinic ambulance responded to the incident, but it's not clear if the bicyclist was transported to the hospital.
