Bidding Schedule Set for Rec/Senior Center Project
The Rochester Park Board has authorized staff to begin the process to seek bids for the planned Recreation/Senior Center project.

The information that bidding companies will need to put their proposals together is expected to be ready by early February. Proposals will be due by the end of March and one is expected to be selected by the Park Board at its April 7th meeting. Work is expected to begin that same month and be completed by the fall of next year.
Under the plan, the Rec Center will be expanded and renovated.
The new senior center will be located on the southwest corner of the Rec Center and the two buildings will be connected. The senior center will include a swimming pool, workout room, a library, cafeteria, computer labs, classrooms and other amenities.
The estimated construction cost of the project is nearly $22.5 million.
