Bones Found in Rural Olmsted County Being Tested
Marion, MN (KROC-AM News) - The results aren’t in but Olmsted County authorities are pretty certain some bones found near Marion are those of a dog.
The bones were found in a ditch along I-90 Sunday afternoon by a man who was cleaning his property.
Sheriff’s Office Capt. Scott Behrns says it was decided to test the bones because they were wrapped inside some women’s clothing items. Behrns says he is “98-percent sure” the bones are not human and test results are expected soon. Behrns suspects the dog was a family pet and was placed in the ditch after it died, perhaps as long as two years ago.
