Rochester Man Taken to Hospital Following Crash With Box Truck
Elgin, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash with a box truck sent a Rochester man to the hospital Thursday morning.

He was driving an SUV. The State Patrol responded to the two-vehicle crash in northeastern Olmsted County shortly before 9:30 a.m.
The drivers were the only people involved.

Rochester Man Injured in Crash With Box Truck on Hwy. 42
The SUV-box truck crash occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 42 and 75th St. NE, which is less than two miles south of Elgin. Both vehicles were heading north when they collided, the state crash report says.
27-year-old Abdulkadir Mohamed Mohamud was identified as the SUV driver. He was brought to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
40-year-old Jeffery L Hensel of Menominee, WI was behind the wheel of the box truck. The State Patrol says he escaped the crash without injuries.
Mohamud was not wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not involved in the collision, according to the state crash report. Hwy. 42 was wet at the time of the crash.
The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office, Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Plainview Police Department, Elgin Fire Department and Elgin ambulance also responded to the two-vehicle collision.
