Rochester Child Porn Investigation Leads to 11-Year Prison Term
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A former Rochester man has been ordered to prison for his convictions in a child pornography case.
According to Olmsted County court records, 28-year-old Brenden Keiran Walsh requested an executed sentence after he entered into a plea agreement earlier this year. He was charged in May of last year after a cybertip triggered an investigation by the Rochester Police Department.
Investigation Triggered by Google Cybertip
Court documents indicate the cybertip involved 20 videos of suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM) that had been uploaded to a Google account linked to Walsh, who currently has an Apple Valley address.. That led to the execution of a search warrant and the seizure of a cellphone that contained nearly 3,000 images and videos "consistent with child sexual abuse material."
The criminal complaint against Walsh says investigators also determined that thousands of images and videos had been sent to other people, and most depicted female children as young as 1 year old.

Posed as 12-Year-Old Online
According to the criminal charges, the search of Walsh's southeast Rochester home also resulted in the discovery of thousands of sexually explicit images and videos of children stored on other electronic devices, along with his Google and Facebook accounts. It was also alleged that Walsh identified himself as a 12-year-old girl during online sexual conversations through a messenger app and used the same application to send and receive child pornography.
Guilty Pleas Entered Earlier This Year
He was charged with four counts of disseminating child pornography and six counts of possession of child pornography. Under a plea agreement finalized in April, Walsh entered guilty pleas to one count of dissemination and two counts of possession of child pornography.
