Brace Yourself – Accumulating Snow Possible in Rochester Tuesday
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester area could experience its first accumulating snowfall of the season on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service is tracking a storm system that is expected to bring 2 or more inches of snow to areas of Minnesota as far south as Rochester. At this point, forecasters say the heaviest snow is expected to fall in areas of southern Minnesota north of Mankato and into central Minnesota where 4 or more inches is possible. Rochester is currently on the very southern edge of an area facing a moderate risk of seeing a couple of inches or more of snow accumulation.
The current track of the storm suggests the snow will begin to fall early Tuesday morning in western Minnesota and last through most of the day across eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
