Car Sought in Cannon Falls Home Invasion Case
Cannon Falls, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Department has released a photo of a car that investigators believe may have been used in a recent home invasion at a rural Cannon Falls residence. The late 1990’s model Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable was captured on a surveillance camera video. It’s silver or gray with a sunroof and damage on the front passenger side fender.
Officials are working to locate the vehicle and identify the owner in connection with an incident last month during which two men barged their way into a home and held a husband and wife at gunpoint. After about a half hour inside the house, the robbers fled with guns and cash after tying up both homeowners on the morning of May 21st.
The victims were able to supply investigators with fairly detailed descriptions of the suspects. Both were black males in their 20’s. One was close to 6 feet tall and weighed 170 to 180 pounds with a black beard. He was wearing a stocking cap, black pants, lime green safety vest. The second suspect was around 5 foot 10 weighed 150 to 170 pounds, with short hair. He was clean-shaven, wore a stud in his left ear, talked softly and wore a black coat with partial letters of “GA” on the front, jeans, silver/blue athletic shoes.
Anyone with information about the car and/or the robbers is asked to call the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Department at 651-385-3155 or their local law enforcement agency.
