St Paul (KROC AM News) - The Minnesota Department of Health has just released its latest numbers on the COVID-19 situation in the state and the new report shows another death has been confirmed.

As of Monday, the death toll stands at 10, compared to 9 on Sunday. The number of positive cases has grown from 503 on Sunday to 576. The number of patients no longer needing to be in isolation was put at 260. Olmsted County’s total has increased from 47 to 51.

The total number of cases involving patients requiring hospitalization has been updated to 92. As of Monday, 56 remained in the hospital and 24 of those are in intensive care. 6 Olmsted County residence are currently hospitalized because of the coronavirus infection.

Olmsted County Public Health is also reporting that 17-percent of the total number of confirmed cases in the county are due to suspected community transmission. The county is also reporting 7 clusters of cases involving family members or others in close contact with a previously confirmed case.

The total approximate number of completed tests has increased by more than 1,000 from Sunday. The current total is 18,822.

The MDH report indicates 48 of the state’s 87 counties have confirmed cases of the virus. Here are the totals from counties in SE Minnesota:
