St Paul (KROC AM News) - While Minnesota’s daily COVID-19 death total has been in the single digits for more than a month, there has been another troubling trend. 

The state has seen a slowly rising increase in the daily number of COVID patients who are being treated in intensive care units. 

The daily number was reported at 159 on Monday - the highest it’s been since June 25th.

The daily number was in the 200s between May 14 and June 6th, peaking at 263 on May 30th. 

The Minnesota Dept of Health received four more COVID death reports on Monday. 

Just over 600 new positive cases were also reported, raising the overall total to 57,162.
