St Paul (KROC AM News) - Minnesota has tied its daily record for COVID-19 deaths.

The Minnesota Dept. of Health reports the Tuesday total was 33. That tied the record set last Friday. Tuesday was also the first time since then the daily total was over 20. The state’s death toll has risen to 932.

A total of 759 were residents of long-term care and/or assisted living facilities. The new daily report was based on 6600 more tests.

It also shows another 510 positive COVID cases, raising the total to nearly 22,500.

The number of Minnesotans who required hospitalization because of the virus has climbed to 2800 with 600 still receiving care. The number of COVID patients in intensive care was put at 260, the highest daily number recorded since the pandemic began.
