St Paul (KROC AM News) - The number of coronavirus tests in Minnesota since the COVID-19 pandemic began is approaching 100,000.

The state’s latest report shows the total has risen to 97,421.

It also shows another 786 positive cases have been confirmed, raising the total to 9365.

The Minnesota Dept. of Health report also shows there have been 23 more deaths, increasing the total to 508. Sixteen of the latest deaths involved residents of nursing homes/assisted living facilities. That total has risen to 407.

The report also shows Hennepin County's total number of positive cases is close to 3,000 and its death total has risen to 342.
