COVID-19: MN Daily Death Count is Highest in Over a Month

St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Department of Health today reported the state has experienced another 16 coronavirus related deaths.
The daily count of people who have died after becoming ill from the COVID-19 virus is the highest reported by the state since August 19th. The monthly death toll was 220, which is three higher than the total reported in August. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2036 Minnesotans have died after contracting the infection.
Minnesota health officials today reported 689 new infections that were detected by a little over 12,800 tests for a positivity rate of almost 5.4-percent. 10 of the new cases were found in Olmsted County.
