St Paul (KROC AM News) - Nearly 100 more COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Minnesota Saturday, raising the running total to more than 1400.

The state has been averaging nearly 100 new cases per day for the last three days.

Olmsted County added 6 more cases to raise its total to 132.

The Saturday update from the Minnesota Department of Health shows seven more COVID-19 deaths have been confirmed, That increases the total since the state began keeping track of COVID-19 cases to 64. The seven latest victims were in their 80s and 90s and one was from Winona County.

The number of hospitalizations has risen to 340 with 145 still in the hospital and 69 of those patients are in intensive care, five more than Friday's number.

The report indicates the state has now confirmed 35,400 COVID-19 tests.
