St Paul (KROC AM News) - Increased testing is leading to more confirmed COVID-19 cases in Minnesota.

Wednesday’s report on COVID activity from the state health department includes two new daily records - the number of tests (2915) and the number of confirmed cases (463).

More than a fourth of the new cases were reported in Nobles County, a current hotspot that has been linked to a meatpacking plant.

As of Tuesday, the state had counted nearly 67,000 tests and confirmed 4644 positive cases.

There were also 18 new deaths reported Tuesday, raising the running total to 319.
