Deputies Respond To Byron Drug Overdose Victim
Byron, MN (KROC AM News) - For the second day in a row, local law officers may have helped save the life of a person who overdosed.
Two Olmsted County deputies were sent to a residence in the 100 block of 5th Ave NW in Byron around 6:00 pm Tuesday and found an unresponsive man.
One of the deputies administered a Narcan dose and the man was revived. The 60-year-old man was taken by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment. It’s not known what drug he had taken but a spokesman says it was not a prescription medication.
A county deputy and a Rochester police officer responded to a similar call Monday night. A man had OD’d in a car and he was also revived after receiving a Narcan dose.
