Young Dirtbiker Taken to Hospital After Crashing to Avoid Hitting Dog Near Stewartville
Stewartville MN (KROC-AM News)- A young dirt bike rider was taken to a hospital after a crash in rural Olmsted County Friday night.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Captain Tim Parkin says deputies responded to the crash shortly after 11:20 Friday night.
The dirt biker was not wearing a helmet, according to the report from the sheriff’s office.
The crash occurred west of Stewartville in an area along Hwy. 30 in Rock Dell Township. The 20-year-old rider told deputies he was driving on a gravel road when a dog ran in front of him.
He said he attempted to swerve to avoid the dog, lost control of the bike and crashed. Parkin said the Stewartville man suffered a concussion, broken jaw and other facial injuries.
He was transported to a hospital for further care. The man’s name has not been released.
