Undated (KROC-AM News)- At least four lives were lost in crashes on Minnesota’s roads over the weekend.

Both of the fatalities happened on Sunday and occurred within about an hour of each other. 

One crash involved a head-on collision. The first deadly crash that was reported is under investigation.

Minnesota State Patrol Investigating Fatal Incident Along Hwy. 65 in Isanti County

Limited information is available as of Monday morning regarding Sunday’s first fatal crash. 

The State Patrol crash report, which describes the incident as fatal, says emergency responders were dispatched to a crash along Hwy. 65 just north of Cambridge shortly before 11:40 a.m.

A vehicle and person count is not available. Officials plan to release more information at a later time. 

3 Minnesotans Killed in Head-on Crash On Hwy. 169 Along Mille Lacs Lake

Less than one hour later, the State Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash along the western shore of Mille Lacs Lake. 

A southbound pick-up crossed the center line and collided head-on with a northbound SUV on Hwy. 169, according to the state crash report

59-year-old Lee William Page of Coon Rapids was identified as the pick-up driver. Page and his passenger, identified as 59-year-old Lisa Marie Brunes of Coon Rapids, were pronounced dead at the scene. 

51-year-old Kari Sue Hohansee of Remer, MN was identified as the sole passenger in the SUV. She was also pronounced dead at the scene. 

The SUV driver, identified as 53-year-old Jeremy James Hohansee of Remer, MN, was brought to a hospital in Baxter with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Everyone was buckled up and it’s not known if alcohol was involved in the Hwy. 169 fatality, the state report says. Authorities say Hwy. 169 had snow and ice on it at the time of the deadly collision.
