
85-Year-Old Minnesota Man Killed, Woman Severely Hurt in Wrong Way Crash
Lakeville, MN (MinnesotaNow)- A wrong-way crash took the life of a Minnesota man and severely injured a Minnesota woman.

That’s according to a news release issued by the Lakeville Police Department.
The deadly collision occurred in Lakeville late Saturday morning. The drivers were the only occupants of the vehicles.

Wrong-Way Driver Killed, Woman Severely Injured in Lakeville Crash
First responders were called to the two-vehicle crash shortly after 11:40 a.m. on Dakota County Rd. 23, south of the intersection of 185th St. West.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates a 2011 Jaguar XJ was heading south in the northbound lanes when it collided with a Tesla Model 3, Lakeville police say.
An 85-year-old man from Lakeville was driving the Jaguar. He was transported by ambulance to a hospital where he later died from his injuries, according to the news release.
Authorities are describing the Tesla driver as a 44-year-old Farmington woman. She was also taken to a hospital with what are being described as life-threatening injuries.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the 85-year-old man. The 44-year-old woman’s name has not yet been released.
Lakeville Police say impairment is not suspected in the deadly crash. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fatal collision.
