(UPDATE) FBI Arrest in Rochester Apparently Involves Colorado Case
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A spokesman for the US Attorney in Colorado today declined to comment on a Rochester man’s case, but did indicate an announcement could be coming next week.
The 42-year-old man was taken into custody after FBI agents raided his home in the 5200 block of 51st Street Northwest on Thursday. Rochester Police Capt John Sherwin says he can’t comment on the case but says “it does not involve terrorism or a homeland security issue.”
The man was held in the Olmsted County jail overnight before federal agents took him into custody on Friday. A spokesperson for the federal prosecutor’s office in Minnesota indicated the case is being handled by federal authorities in Colorado.
