Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The four people found dead in an SUV that was discovered in a western Wisconsin cornfield Sunday were from Minnesota and all had been shot.

The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday identified the victims as young adults, two females and two males. Three were from St Paul and the fourth was from Stillwater.

Autopsies were performed on the victims Monday by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office and the preliminary examinations showed all died from gunshot wounds.

Dunn County Sheriff Kevin Bygd says his office “is working hard on a thorough investigation with many other agencies to bring a swift end to this investigation to ensure justice is served for these four victims as soon as possible. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of these victims. I wish we could release more details of our investigation but we have to balance the public’s desire to know the details with running the risk of harming our investigation and losing evidence for building a good homicide case.”

The sheriff identified the victims as:

  • Nitosha Lee Flug-Presley, 30 years old of Stillwater
  • Matthew Isiah Pettus, 26 years old of Saint Paul
  • Loyace Foreman III, 35 years old of Saint Paul
  • Jasmine Christine Sturm, 30 years old of Saint Paul
