Guilty Plea in Rochester Case For Man Serving Federal Sentence
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man, who is now serving a nearly 22 year prison sentence for his conviction on a federal child pornography charge, has entered into a plea agreement and has been sentenced in a related Olmsted County case.
28-year-old Kevyn Bradley Heath was charged with three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of using a minor and pornographic work, and a single count of dissemination of child pornography. The charges stemmed from an Internet tip that was received by local investigators in February of last year involving suspected child sex abuse material uncovered by Snapchat.
His Sentence Will be Served Concurrently With His Federal Prison Term
Court documents indicate that led to the execution of a search warrant at his home. The criminal complaint says the evidence included an online conversation in which Heath sent a photo of himself and two sexually explicit images of a girl under the age of 16. The charges also alleged that Heath chatted online about sexually abusing an infant girl and sent multiple sexually explicit images of himself and the child.

He entered a guilty plea in Olmsted County Court on Monday to the first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge and was given a 14 year prison sentence that will be served concurrently with his federal prison term.

In March, Heath was sentenced in federal court after he entered a guilty plea to a charge of production of child pornography. He was originally indicted on six counts involving the production, attempted production, and distribution of child pornography. In addition to the more than two decade long prison sentence, Heath was also ordered to pay $106,000 in restitution.
