Update: Southern Minnesota Teen, Young North Iowa Woman Killed in Mower County Head-on Crash
Lyle, MN (KROC-AM News)- A teenage boy and a young woman from North Iowa lost their lives in a head-on crash on a southeast Minnesota highway Tuesday morning.

Two vehicles were involved in the fatality. The State Patrol responded to the deadly crash in Mower County shortly after 10:45 a.m.
The teenage driver was not buckled up, according to the updated state crash report.
Austin Teenager Dead After Head-on Crash Between Van & Car on Southeast Minnesota Highway
A northbound van and southbound car collided on Hwy. 218 at the intersection of 140th St., which is about five miles north of the Minnesota-Iowa border community of Lyle, the State Patrol says.
A 17-year-old boy from Austin was driving the car. He has been identified as Whin Gay and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
25-year-old Jacie Mae Weaver of Rockwell Iowa was driving the van. She was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Weaver was wearing her seatbelt. Alcohol was not involved in the fatal crash, the state crash report says.
The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Lyle Fire and Ambulance, the Austin Fire Department, Mayo Clinic Ambulance and the Minnesota Department of Transportation also responded to the fatal head-on crash.
