Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Rochester police are reporting the arrest of a teenage man, armed with a so-called “ghost gun” during a traffic stop.

A post on the police department’s Facebook page says the arrest took place early Thursday morning. 

The traffic stop and subsequent arrest happened at a Hwy. 52 interchange in Rochester.

Rochester Police: 18-Year-Old Busted With Ghost Gun During High-Risk Traffic Stop

Five people, all under the age of 21, were in the vehicle, police say. Officers conducted the traffic stop at the Hwy. 52/55th St. NW interchange around 2:40 a.m. 

The stop occurred near the southbound Hwy. 52 onramp. 

Police say the vehicle was connected to disorderly conduct reported in northeast Rochester.

Details about that incident have not been released. 

Officers found a firearm without a serial number and alcohol inside of the vehicle during the stop, the Facebook post says. 

Police arrested the driver, identified as 18-year-old Dino Vele of Rochester. He’s expected to face firearm charges, police say.

The names of the four other occupants of the vehicle have not been released.
