
High Winds Topple Semi-Truck on SE Minnesota Highway
Austin, MN (KROC-AM News) - A truck driver was injured today when strong winds blew over his semi-truck on a southeastern Minnesota highway.
The State Patrol says the incident was reported around 2:50 PM in Mower County. The truck was traveling south on Highway 56 a little over a mile south of I-90 about 2 miles east of Austin.
The State Patrol identified the truck driver as 62-year-old Todd Wolter of Denver Iowa. He was transported to the Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in Austin with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The National Weather Service this afternoon reported wind gusts of nearly 60 mph in southeastern Minnesota. A wind advisory was posted through 7 PM.
