Highway 14 Detour in Winona

A section of Highway 14 in Winona will be closed until the pedestrian bridge that serves St. Mary’s University is removed.  The bridge that crosses the highway was damaged yesterday when it was hit by a truck that was carrying a tall piece of construction equipment.  Engineers say the damage was so severe they are fearful the bridge may

collapse.

MDOT says it is working with St. Mary’s to ensure its students can safely cross the highway.
