
Hwy. 52 Traffic Stop Leads to Rochester Meth & MDMA Bust

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A traffic stop on a Rochester freeway over the weekend led to a drug bust.

That’s according to Rochester Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson.
The traffic stop and subsequent drug bust occurred around 6:30 Saturday evening. Police arrested both the driver and a passenger.

Rochester Police Seize Methamphetamine & MDMA/Ecstasy During Hwy. 52 Traffic Stop, Driver & Passenger Arrested
Grayson says officers stopped a vehicle on Hwy. 52 near the 41st St. Northwest interchange.
Police then searched the vehicle and found “85 grams of methamphetamine and 200 MDMA/ecstasy pills,” Grayson said.

34-year-old Jason Bennett is identified in the police report as the driver. His passenger was identified as 44-year-old Lorenzo Heard.
Grayson says both of the suspects, who are Rochester residents, were booked into the Olmsted County Jail on suspicion of felony drug sales and felony drug possession.
Their first court appearances have not yet been scheduled.
