
Highway 63 Closed for Hours After Car Hits Semi Near Stewartville
Racine, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Spring Valley woman was injured in a car-truck crash that completely shut down traffic on Highway 63 near Stewartville this afternoon.
The State Patrol says 36-year-old Kassandra Lynn Johnson was driving a car west on Mower County Road 2 when she collided with a semi-truck traveling south on Highway 63. The crash was reported just before 12:10 PM, and both lanes of the highway just south of Racine were closed for about two hours.
The preliminary crash report indicates Johnson was transported by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital. Her injuries were described as non-life-threatening. The report states that she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
The driver of the truck was identified as 27-year-old Emrakh Farkhadinovich Tairov of Kent, Washington. The State Patrol says he was wearing a seatbelt and was not hurt.

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Meadow Police, Grand Meadow Fire and Rescue, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the scene.
