Homecoming for MN Soldiers
INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. (AP) — More than 100 military families have been reunited with Minnesota National Guard members who served in Afghanistan.
Members of the guard's 114th Transportation Company have been deployed for nine months. And, on Tuesday they returned to family and friends at the armory in Inver Grove Heights.
Maggie Koester had just gotten married three weeks before her new husband was deployed. Koester says it has been an interesting first year of marriage without him.
Members of the 114th moved equipment as bases closed in Afghanistan.
