Oronoco, MN (KROC-AM News) - An investigator from the State Fire Marshal's Office has been called in to determine the cause of a house fire this morning near Lake Zumbro.

Fire Reported Shortly After 8 AM

The Pine Island Fire Department says the structure fire was reported around 8:10 a.m. in the 300 block of 105th Street Northwest in Oronoco Township. A news release says an Olmsted County Sheriff's deputy was the first to arrive at the scene and reported heavy smoke coming from the residence.

Flames Coming From the Attic

Responding Pine Island firefighters observed fire and smoke coming from the attic of the home. The heaviest flames were knocked down within approximately 15 minutes.

The news release says the Oronoco Fire Department assisted with additional firefighters and water supplies.

No One Hurt

No injuries were reported, but the house sustained smoke and water damage. An estimate of the financial losses is not available.
