Driver Ticketed for Running Red Light Following Injury Crash at Rochester Intersection
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- One driver was ticketed for a crash at a Rochester intersection that sent a person to the hospital on Tuesday.

That’s according to Rochester Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash that was reported around 4 p.m. Preliminary information indicates one of the drivers had disobeyed a red light.

Grayson says the crash occurred at the intersection of East Circle Dr. and Viola Rd. Northeast near Century High School.
The crash investigation indicates a vehicle heading east on Viola Rd. and a southbound vehicle on East Circle Dr. collided in the intersection.
Grayson says a passenger in the southbound vehicle was transported from the scene by Mayo Clinic Ambulance. The person’s injuries are described as non-critical.
The driver of the southbound vehicle was issued a citation for failure to stop for a traffic signal, Grayson said. No other injuries were reported.
The names of the driver and injured passenger have not been released.
