Juvenile Resident Dies at Red Wing Correctional Facility

Red Wing, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Department of Corrections is investigating the death of a juvenile while in custody.

Very little information has been released, but a DOC spokesman says the juvenile resident of the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Red Wing was found unresponsive by staff on Saturday. A statement says life saving measures were attempted at the facility, but the juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of the deceased juvenile has not been released and the DOC has not issued any information about the cause of death.

The incident is under investigation.
