Savage, MN (MinnesotaNow)- Authorities are investigating the death of an infant at a Minnesota child care facility.

A news release published by the Savage Police Department on Tuesday morning says the child passed away on Monday. It also says the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with the investigation.

Law enforcement is asking the families of other attendees at the daycare to closely monitor their children. So far limited information is available.

Infant Dies at Childcare Facility in Savage, MN

The infant died after suffering what authorities are describing as a “medical incident” at the Rocking Horse Ranch Childcare facility, located at 14859 Louisiana Ave S. in Savage. 

Police say the infant was brought to the Henniepen County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy that will determine the baby’s cause and manner of death. 

The medical examiner will also identify the young child, the news release says.
