One of Rochester’s most recognizable chefs is once again in the running for a pretty major national honor… and honestly, if you’ve ever eaten one of his meals, this probably won’t surprise you.

Chef Youness Bojji has officially been nominated for the 2026 Favorite Chef competition... Again!

The nationwide online contest is presented by celebrity chef Carla Hall, and gives chefs from across the country a shot at some huge prizes, including $25,000, a feature on the cover of Taste of Home magazine, and the chance to cook alongside Carla Hall herself.

And around Rochester, Youness is already pretty legendary.

Over the years, he’s built a loyal following through spots like Casablanca, Chez Bojji, 507 Public House, and now Eastwood CaddyShack at Eastwood Golf Course.

But honestly, what makes this story even cooler isn’t just the food.

When asked what he would do with the $25,000 prize money if he wins, Youness said he would donate all of it to help underprivileged children. And if you know anything about him, that tracks.

Over the years, Youness has become known not just for his incredible food, but for the way he constantly gives back to the community. One of the biggest examples is the free Christmas meals he regularly serves for people in need around Rochester.

Public voting for Favorite Chef officially begins June 1st.
