Why James Rabe Looks Forward to His Rochester Dental Clinic Visits

I have a few rules I live by.

a) Life is dull; it's making it exciting that's fun. (My dad told me that).

ii) Breakfast is the time of day, not the food you're eating (Lo Mein, mac and cheese or pizza for breakfast? You bet!)

3) If you don't enjoy going to the dentist, you might be going to the wrong dentist.

That last one I learned back when I spent five years in Idaho. I looked forward to going because the people there were fun. When I moved back to Rochester, I knew I needed to find a dentist, but for six years, I put it off. What were the odds I'd find a place like the one in Idaho? Turns out, pretty good. First try, and I hit a home net in the sport ball.

I finally went to Rochester Dental Clinic. I was super nervous on my first visit because...SIX YEARS of no dentist embarrassed me. And you know me, I'm not embarrassed about anything.

The first thing I did was fill out the patient forms, then had a conversation with Dr. Tate Dison, and though I couldn't tell you word one about the way he looks (masks, you know), I can tell you he made me feel super comfortable.

And not just comfortable with being at the dentist for the first time in six years (no shame in their game at Rochester Dental Clinic), but with their level of attention to me and my medical history. Dr. Dison knew things I didn't know about dental health and my kidney transplant and T2 diabetes. That is so reassuring to know he really knows what's going on with me.

Then came Cheri, the dental hygienist. Same thing...only she did the cleaning and is so funny. I actually looked forward to the second visit for Deep Clean Part II, The Dentaling.
