Jogger Killed After Being Hit by Pick-Up Along Rural Minnesota Road
Springfield, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Minnesota woman was killed after she was struck by a pick-up truck while out on a jog.

Authorities responded to the deadly traffic incident in southwestern Minnesota shortly after 8:15 Saturday morning. The driver of the pick-up spoke with law enforcement.
A news release issued by the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday says the pick-up hit the woman near a rural intersection about 30 miles west of New Ulm.
The preliminary investigation indicates the pedestrian-vehicle collision occurred after the eastbound pick-up came over the crest of a hill.
The eastbound jogger, described as a 39-year-old woman from Mountain Lake, was pronounced dead at the scene. The pick-up driver is described as a 25-year-old man from rural Bingham Lake.
The names of the driver and victim have yet not been released. A second person who was jogging with the victim was not hurt.
The deadly incident is under investigation.
