Kasson Man Admits to Robbing Rochester Ice Cream Shop
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A young man from Kasson is scheduled to be sentenced next month for robbing a Rochester ice cream shop.
18-year-old Keyshawn Howell had the misfortune of targeting a business where a former high school classmate was working. The young woman recognized him from school and Howell was arrested the day after two robbers held-up the Cold Stone Creamery near Menards South in early February. Howell today pleaded guilty to felony simple robbery charge for his involvement in the crime.
At last report, police were still looking for the second robber, who was the person who threatened an employee of the business with a gun while demanding the money in the cash register.
