Large Power Outage Hits People’s Energy Cooperative Customers

Oronoco, MN (KROC AM News )  - Customers of People’s Cooperative Energy had to deal with a widespread power outage Wednesday.

The outage apparently began around 4:30 AM and at one point had affected more than 6,000 customers or nearly a fourth of People’s total. Among those who lost service were hundreds in Eyota, Elgin and Plainview.

No word on what caused the outage.
