Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Lewiston man accused of sexually abusing two children at a rural Rochester home has been acquitted of the charges.
Jury Finds Lewiston Man Not Guilty
Olmsted County court records indicate the not guilty verdict was handed down Friday by the jury that heard the case against 34-year-old Cody James Krismer. He was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Investigation Began Following 2024 Report
According to a criminal complaint filed in July 2024, the alleged sexual abuse occurred sometime in the spring of 2023. The charges stemmed from an investigation that began when a Goodhue County Sheriff's deputy filed a past-action report of sexual assault in April 2024 after interviewing the two alleged victims.

Trial in Olmsted County Court Ends With Acquittal
The court document says the girls, who were under the age of 14, stated that the alleged sexual abuse occurred while they were staying in a trailer home owned by Krismer north of Rochester. The criminal complaint says the girls told investigators that Krismer had been outside the residence drinking on the night of the alleged assaults.
The trial that led to his acquittal began in Olmsted County court on Monday.
