Louisiana Man Jailed After Rochester Crash Sends Man to Hospital
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Mankato man was brought to St. Mary’s Hospital after his vehicle was struck from behind on the shoulder of Hwy. 52 in Rochester Tuesday evening.
The Minnesota State Patrol Incident report indicates 22-year-old Timothy Bremmer was parked on the southbound Hwy. 52 shoulder at Civic Center Dr. when a Chevy Malibu hit the backside of his Ford Taurus shortly before 7 p.m.
Bremmer was brought to the nearby hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in Bremmer’s vehicle was not hurt.
The driver of the Malibu, identified as 26-year-old Alex Xorxe of Louisiana, was not hurt. The crash report says Xorxe was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
Jail records show he was brought to the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center after the crash on suspicion of felony drug possession. He is awaiting arraignment in Olmsted County Court.
The Rochester Police Department, Rochester Fire Department Mayo Ambulance Also responded to the crash.
