
38-Year-Old Man Accused of Approaching Faribault School Bus With Long Gun
Faribault, MN (KROC-AM News)- Police in Faribault have arrested a man suspected of approaching an occupied school bus with a long gun.

A news release issued by the Faribault Police Department says officers responded to the report of a weapons complaint shortly before 7:45 Thursday morning.
Police say no shots were fired. The bus, which was heading to the Roosevelt Early Learning Center, was occupied by a driver, bus aid and several students.

Faribault Police Arrest 38-Year-Old Man for Approaching School Bus With Long Gun
The incident occurred in the 200th block of 8th St. West. The aid reported a man approached the bus while holding what appeared to be a long gun.
Law enforcement identified the address where the suspect reportedly emerged from and obtained a search warrant.
The Faribault School District, and Discovery School went into a soft lockdown during the incident. The news release says the lockdown was, “to ensure student safety due to proximity.”
Faribault Police ID Suspect Arrested
The suspect then attempted to leave the home on foot shortly after 9 a.m. Officers arrested him without incident, police say.
Authorities identified the suspect as 38-year-old Alex Jeffrey Wolters. He could face felony terroristic threats charges, the news release says.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing. Investigators were still executing the search warrant as of 12:30 Thursday afternoon.
