Minneapolis Murder Victim Identified as Rochester Man

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The victim of a shooting in Minneapolis last week has been identified as a 20-year-old Rochester man.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office says Ty'Shawn Maurice Lyons suffered a gunshot wound to his head on December 3rd. He was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died from his injuries last Wednesday.
The deadly shooting occurred on Grand Avenue a few blocks west of the former Kmart Store that was recently demolished by the city to fight blight in that part of Minneapolis. Investigators say the bullet that struck the Rochester man was fired from a passing vehicle.
No arrests have been reported in the case.
