Minnesota Authorities Working to ID Body Found in Burning Camper
Moorhead, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Fire Marshal's Office is assisting with the investigation into the death of a man who was found in a burned-up camper in northwestern Minnesota.
The Moorhead Police Department says the victim was found around 6:15 this morning after emergency crews responded to a report of a vehicle fire in Moorhead. The report indicated a pickup with a camper mounted on it was on fire.
Moorhead Police say the deceased adult male was discovered inside the camper by Moorhead firefighters. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office has been asked to identify the victim and perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
The cause of the fire also remains under investigation. A news release issued by Moorhead police describes the investigation into the incident as "very active."
