Billings, MT (Learfield News Service) - Authorities in Park County, Montana say a Minnesota man slipped and fell about 150 feet to his death while climbing that state's highest mountain.

The name and hometown of the 65-year-old victim haven't been released.

Investigators say he was an experienced climber who was about 200 feet from the summit of Granite Peak when the accident happened Saturday afternoon. His climbing partner called for help at 2:00 AM Sunday after climbing down from the peak to an area with cell phone service. Bad weather delayed efforts to recover the body Monday.
