Minnesota Man Killed After Oncoming Vehicles Collide on Rural Road (Update)
Euclid, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Minnesota man lost his life following a collision between two oncoming vehicles Tuesday.
The State Patrol responded to the deadly crash shortly before 8 p.m. A car and Jeep were involved in the collision.
The fatal crash happened about 30 miles east of the Grand Forks area in northwestern Minnesota’s Polk County. An eastbound car and westbound Jeep collided at a three-way intersection along Center St. West.
Authorities identified the car driver as 59-year-old Michael Thomas Weiland of Euclid, MN. He was pronounced dead at the scene and was not buckled up, the report says.
He was not buckled when the car and Jeep collided, the state crash report says. The Jeep driver is identified as 65-year-old Margaret Jane Rendulich of Thief River Falls.
She was taken from the crash scene to a hospital for treatment of what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The road was described as wet at the time of the crash.
